2021 Aphelion Pir Chenin Blanc

White peach, red apple and flint show on the aroma with cinnamon adding complexity. The palate is a textural delight with a great depth of flavour – time on ferment lees has provided an attractive creamy character to the wine. Use of French oak provides a touch of astringency on the finish. A rounded and complete wine, crisp acidity cleans the finish and provides great length.

Rob and Louise are the duo behind Aphelion from the McLaren Vale region, with their philosophy focussed on creating wines that are bright and fresh. Their first vintage was in 2014 with a Blewitt Springs Grenache which was an absolute sell out. Since then, the wines have been gaining more and more traction and popularity among wine enthusiasts and wine critics. To that end, they were well deserving of being named McLaren Vale's best small producer in 2019! With their range extending with Grenache, Grenache Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and a Rosè, were excited to see what comes next from the team, but in the meantime we recommend getting your hands on some of the range while we have them in stock.

For the 2021 Aphelion Pir Chenin Blanc, we recommend pairing it with seared scallops and citrusy fennel salad. The delicate flavours and vibrant acidity of the Chenin Blanc will beautifully complement the sweetness and tenderness of the scallops, while the citrus notes in the wine will harmonise with the refreshing fennel salad.

We offer free shipping over $199! There is no minimum order quantity. Mix and match your own wine pack!

Orders less than $199 are shipped for a flat fee of $15 for standard delivery, or $20 for express shipping.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. We'll dispatch your order within 24 hours during week days.

We are an Australian based company, licensed to sell alcohol across Australia. Currently we ship to all states except NT. All orders are packaged securely for a safe transit to you from our temperature controlled warehouse in Sydney.

DELIVERY

For the delivery of your items, please allow up to 5 business days for most metro areas, and up to 10 business days for remote areas. Please note these timeframes are estimates only and not a guaranteed delivery date. 

You will receive delivery tracking updates once your order has been collected from our delivery partner. All wine deliveries can only be signed-for and accepted by a person 18 years and older.
