2022 Tomfoolery Cut n Run Riesling

Definitely very drinkable now for the lovers of fresh delicate Rieslings but is picked early and built to reward the serious cellaring types.

Colour: Clear Straw.

Bouquet: lime citrus, spice, mineral.

Palate: Delicately weighted with upfront Bickford lime juice, bursts of acidity with juicy fruit and solid rocky back bone to go the journey.

Tomfoolery began as a fun project of Barossa young guns and best mates Ben Chipman and Toby Yapp. They took 1 tonne of old vine Shiraz and created the instant smash-hit, first bottling of the Artful Dodger Shiraz. Over the following vintages the boys expanded their production to include Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Mataro, Tempranillo from the Barossa; as well as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from the Adelaide Hills. In early 2018/19 Ben and wife Sarah bought Toby’s share and have opened the beautiful Tomfoolery Cellar Door in Light Pass, SA. The winemaking philosophy is simple: small parcels of fruit, hand-tended through a simple, relatively non-interventionist approach, with the aim to truly reflect the individual characteristics of the vineyard and variety. These wines are made with old world simplicity in a new world region.

The fruit, whether from their own vineyards and selected growers is hand-picked in the coolest, early hours of the morning. Wines are matured in barrel and bottled with no fining or filtration after 12 or 24 months, depending on the wine.

Orders less than $199 are shipped for a flat fee of $15 for standard delivery, or $20 for express shipping.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. We'll dispatch your order within 24 hours during week days.

We are an Australian based company, licensed to sell alcohol across Australia. Currently we ship to all states except NT. All orders are packaged securely for a safe transit to you from our temperature controlled warehouse in Sydney.

For the delivery of your items, please allow up to 5 business days for most metro areas, and up to 10 business days for remote areas. Please note these timeframes are estimates only and not a guaranteed delivery date. 

You will receive delivery tracking updates once your order has been collected from our delivery partner. All wine deliveries can only be signed-for and accepted by a person 18 years and older.
