From the first vintage for the MMAD team, and it’s hard to imagine a better season. Lovely mild ripening conditions gave us Grenache with an intense core of red and blue fruit. There is a purity and density, but also a lightness that belies the energy and power of the fruit. Raspberry coulis and pomegranate notes sit alongside fennel seed and cumin, and flavours continue to unfurl
as the wine sits in the glass. The grapes were mostly destemmed and fermented as whole berries in open concrete and stainless steel, before aging in used 500 litre puncheons.

For the MMAD Grenache, a wine pairing idea would be a braised lamb shank with rosemary-infused polenta. The vibrant and fruit-forward character of the Grenache beautifully complements the tender and flavourful lamb. The wine's notes of red berries, spice, and subtle earthiness harmonise with the rich and succulent meat, enhancing its natural richness. The hints of herbs and floral undertones in the Grenache accentuate the aromatic rosemary in the polenta, creating a delightful interplay of flavours.
