Spinifex Wines is a boutique winery located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The winery was established in 2001 by Peter Schell and Magali Gely, with a focus on producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Barossa Valley.

They specialise in handcrafted wines made from traditional Rhône Valley grape varieties, showcasing the region's unique terroir. With their focus on minimal intervention and sustainable practices, Spinifex Wines has established itself as a respected producer of high-quality wines in the Barossa Valley and beyond.

Spinifex Wines takes a minimalist approach to winemaking, allowing the grapes to express themselves naturally without excessive intervention. They work with a diverse range of grape varieties, including Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro (Mourvèdre), Cinsault, and Carignan, among others. This focus on traditional Rhône Valley grape varieties sets Spinifex Wines apart from many other wineries in the region.

The winemaking philosophy at Spinifex Wines centres around handcrafted, small-batch production. The grapes are carefully sourced from select vineyards across the Barossa Valley and other regions in South Australia with an emphasis on sustainable viticulture practices to create wines with depth, character and authenticity.

The 2021 Spinifex Bête Noir is a blend of Shiraz fruit from six vineyards in the Barossa. It will pair well with a variety of foods such as, mushroom based dishes as the earthy notes in the wine make it a great pairing for. Consider serving it with a mushroom risotto, mushroom tart, or a savoury mushroom ragout.

We offer free shipping over $199! There is no minimum order quantity. Mix and match your own wine pack!

Orders less than $199 are shipped for a flat fee of $15 for standard delivery, or $20 for express shipping.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. We'll dispatch your order within 24 hours during week days.

We are an Australian based company, licensed to sell alcohol across Australia. Currently we ship to all states except NT. All orders are packaged securely for a safe transit to you from our temperature controlled warehouse in Sydney.

DELIVERY

For the delivery of your items, please allow up to 5 business days for most metro areas, and up to 10 business days for remote areas. Please note these timeframes are estimates only and not a guaranteed delivery date. 

You will receive delivery tracking updates once your order has been collected from our delivery partner. All wine deliveries can only be signed-for and accepted by a person 18 years and older.
