The MT. Wines range from Marco and Portia have some serious quality, their Sangiovese is no different with grapes from the Yarra Valley. It's easy to see why Sangiovese is on the rise in the region, this is spot on. Savoury in profile, medium bodied, red fruits, plum and dried herbs bring this wine together. This medium bodied wine was crafted from premium, handpicked Sangiovese grapes sourced from the Yarra Valley wine region. This batch of grapes was first destemmed, then left on skins for two weeks before pressing. Finally, it was aged for 10 months in mature French oak barrels before bottling.
No fining or filtration has been used, ensuring the fruit’s integrity and character has not been compromised. This wine shows intense flavours of ripe plum, cherries and forest berries, along with earthy notes, providing great depth, elegance and complexity.
mt. wines is a wine label created by winemaker Marco and Portia in the Yarra Valley. Growing up in in northern Italy, Marco developed a passion for winemaking as he became intrigued by understanding the complexities of each grape, and then seeing it through to its full potential as a wine truly invigorating.
Here in Australia, Marco started making the wines under the label in 2017 at Hoddles Creek Estate where he was working at the time. More recently, he has moved to work at Mac Forbes where fortunately, Mac was happy to support Marco and Portia in keeping their wine project alive. Mac Forbes' approach to viticulture and winemaking aligned well with the approach Marco and Portia were taking, which makes producing the wines there even more exciting.
The current range under mt. wines include a Shiraz with fruit from Heathcote, a Sangiovese from the Yarra Valley and a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz. These wines Marco and Portia have created are of great quality and excellent value, with the wines having already received high ratings and excellent reviews. We're excited to follow Marco and Portia's wine journey and see what exciting wines they produce in the future!

Orders less than $199 are shipped for a flat fee of $15 for standard delivery, or $20 for express shipping.
Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. We'll dispatch your order within 24 hours during week days.
We are an Australian based company, licensed to sell alcohol across Australia. Currently we ship to all states except NT. All orders are packaged securely for a safe transit to you from our temperature controlled warehouse in Sydney.
