2021 Arfion Fever

The 2021 growing season and harvest were a complete turnaround from the hardships of 2020. It wasn’t without worries, as the return of the La Nina weather pattern brought back thoughts of 2011 and led to a wetter than average year. Thankfully, the rains were perfectly and evenly timed. The mild season avoided major heat spikes and produced healthy canopies and strong vines that ripened plentiful fruit. An exceptional vintage.

A colourful mix of pink and orange, Fever has a vibrant nose of red apple, lychee, citrus zest and berry. It has a bright palate with a juicy texture and a chalky white tannin grip.As the growing seasons change, so does Fever. Each year it is unique in vineyard makeup and varietal composition, influenced by natural elements and how we feel in the winery. Yet, it always looks like a Yarra Valley wine, crafted by us. Sitting under the umbrella of orange or skin contact wine, it is a blend of 4 different varieties that are each perfect reflections of their soils. Volume - 426 Cases

Arfion means “Our Wine” in Scottish Gaelic. After 10 years of making someone else’s wines, Dave Mackintosh thought it time to stomp his own grapes – to get a little closer to the land and the entire wine community. So in 2011, with his brother and father, he started Arfion - a small independent wine company where he’s free to take some risks and do things differently. Based in the Yarra Valley, Arfion creates thoughtful wines with minimal winemaking interference. Intuitive, evolving wine styles that reflect his interpretations of the vineyard soil. Single sites and small volumes. Fresh, textured and delicious.

We offer free shipping over $199! There is no minimum order quantity. Mix and match your own wine pack!

Orders less than $199 are shipped for a flat fee of $15 for standard delivery, or $20 for express shipping.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. We'll dispatch your order within 24 hours during week days.

We are an Australian based company, licensed to sell alcohol across Australia. Currently we ship to all states except NT. All orders are packaged securely for a safe transit to you from our temperature controlled warehouse in Sydney.

DELIVERY

For the delivery of your items, please allow up to 5 business days for most metro areas, and up to 10 business days for remote areas. Please note these timeframes are estimates only and not a guaranteed delivery date. 

You will receive delivery tracking updates once your order has been collected from our delivery partner. All wine deliveries can only be signed-for and accepted by a person 18 years and older.
