2022 Amo Vino Sangio Sangiovese

Sangio’ was sourced from Mark Kosned’s cool sited vineyard in Forreston. 100% destemmed it was fermented in cool ambient temperatures and hand plunged gently, daily for around 3 ½ weeks before basket pressing. Pale vibrant cherry red. Early harvested (12.6% alc/vol) this is designed to be bright and crunchy. Pretty aromas of pink and red rose with ripe raspberry and some fine herbs; super fresh. Juicy raspberry and fresh green herbs with tart-edged acid that tautens the palate and draws out the long fresh finish. Minimal tannins. Loves a light chill.

Amo Vino was originally a celebration of the often-overlooked Riverland region and its rich cultural heritage, in the form of incredibly drinkable, good-times wines.
Amo Vino was born after an eye-opening trip to the Riverland with alternative variety wizz Ashley Ratcliff from Ricca Terra Farms. The brand comes as a partnership between Ashley Ratcliff and Vinous' own, Tim Strong who have teamed together to source sustainably grown fruit from Ashley's own vineyard and a couple of neighbours to create the Italian-inspired range. The potential quality of the fruit they saw was inspiring.

For an exciting food pairing idea with the 2022 Amo Vino Sangio Sangiovese, we recommend pairing it with a classic Italian dish: Braised Short Ribs with Creamy Polenta.

The fruit forward flavours of the Sangio Sangiovese will beautifully complement the tender and succulent short ribs. The wine's notes of dark cherries, blackberries, and hints of spices will enhance the depth of flavours in the dish.

Orders less than $199 are shipped for a flat fee of $15 for standard delivery, or $20 for express shipping.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email. We'll dispatch your order within 24 hours during week days.

We are an Australian based company, licensed to sell alcohol across Australia. Currently we ship to all states except NT. All orders are packaged securely for a safe transit to you from our temperature controlled warehouse in Sydney.
